Getting To Know You

"The Lenna" was originally built by a Scottish boat builder.  It is situated right on the harbour (so he could see the boats come in and out) and is a gorgeous piece of architecture..... well, the 1970's additions should be reported to the police, but other than that, it is just gorgeous.

There is a quaint little bar where the first gas chandelier was installed.  Later, the new owners changed it to electric.

Lucky for us, we got to sit and look at the lovely antique whilst listening to a couple of men shout to each other about accounting stats (enthralling).  They belonged to a shooting club who meet there every year.  We are so lucky.

Dinner was at a lovely steak place........ where they take their steak fairly seriously!

That's not a knife.......... That's a knife! - Honestly, has Paul Hogan ever not been funny?  Well, there was that one where he was an angel..........

Have you ever seen The Gourmet Farmer on the telly?  He used to be a food critic and has moved to Tassie to live off the land and make an SBS show about it.  Well here is his little shop, situated in this inconspicuous "under the stairs" location..... Hopefully we can find it in the daylight so we can purchase something!

Cheers to our first night in Hobart.
